📱 Freemium Model: Sudoku World Tournament is free to play with optional advertisements. You can remove all ads permanently with a one-time in-app purchase. Premium users enjoy a completely ad-free experience with no tracking.
What We Collect
Device ID
Anonymous identifier (no personal info). This helps us maintain your leaderboard position and sync your scores across devices without collecting any personal information.
Game Scores
Your scores, time, and difficulty level. This data powers the tournament system and lets you track your progress over time.
Ad Analytics (Free Users Only)
For free users who see advertisements, we collect anonymous ad interaction data (impressions, triggers) to optimise the ad experience. This data is linked only to your anonymous device ID, never to personal information. Premium users have no ad analytics collected.
Purchases Are Not Tracked
We do not track or store any purchase information. All in-app purchases are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We only verify your premium status locally on your device using Apple's receipt validation. No purchase data is sent to our servers.
What We Don't Collect
We do not collect names, email addresses, precise location data, or behavioural tracking data. We do not sell or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.
Advertising (Free Users)
Google AdMob
Free users may see advertisements powered by Google AdMob. Google may collect device identifiers and use cookies to deliver relevant ads. You can control ad personalisation through iOS Settings → Privacy → Apple Advertising.

App Tracking Transparency
When you first open the app, iOS will ask if you want to allow tracking for personalised ads. You can choose "Ask App Not to Track" and still use the app fully. This only affects ad personalisation, not app functionality.
Go Premium, Go Ad-Free
Purchase the premium upgrade to permanently remove all advertisements. Premium users have zero ad-related data collection – the AdMob SDK is not even initialised for premium accounts.
Your Rights
Delete Your Data
Remove all your scores anytime. You have full control to delete your tournament data directly from the app settings whenever you choose.
Data Security
Encrypted storage in EU (Frankfurt). All data is transmitted over secure HTTPS connections and stored in AWS data centres with enterprise-grade security.
Auto-Deletion
Data automatically deleted after 14 months. We don't keep your data indefinitely. After 14 months of inactivity, your tournament scores are permanently removed from our servers.
Restore Purchases
If you reinstall the app or get a new device, you can restore your premium purchase at no extra cost through Settings → Restore Purchases. Apple handles this securely.
